GKR-1011 Mobile AUVIS
The mobile version of the AUVIS is able to rapidly scan a vehicle’s undercarriage using mobile bidirectional scanners to identify the make and model, detect any foreign objects or changes and highlight them. The system then establishes the vehicle’s “digital fingerprint” by compiling two high-resolution, virtual 3-D digital images of the vehicle’s undercarriage. Once the digital fingerprint has been compiled, about two to three seconds after the vehicle has cleared the mobile AUVIS, Gatekeeper’s Automatic Foreign Object Detection software automatically compares the vehicle with a safe vehicle already stored in the database. Both images are displayed on the screen with any causes for concern highlighted by the software by circling them with a red ring. An audio and visual alarm may also be activated.
GKR-2011 Permanent AUVIS
The GKR-2011 AUVIS operates in the same manner as the GKR-1011 AUVIS model, but is installed into the checkpoint to form an unobtrusive system. Just like the mobile version the permanent AUVIS uses Gatekeeper’s patented scanning technology to create a vehicle fingerprint. Both systems scan at a 60-degree angle when creating the virtual 3-D digital images of the vehicle’s undercarriage to give a better view of anything hidden on top an axle or crossbeam.
