At Gatekeeper Security, our main goal is to provide the best intelligent optical inspection technology systems on the market. We believe we have created a three-factor authentication system that does exactly that. More and more security professionals worldwide are starting to realize the severity of all vehicle-related threats, and it is vital to create comprehensive and complete systems. Our own three factor authentication system is meant to help identify whether a car is entirely safe, the identity of the car itself, and the identities of the occupants and drivers. Read on to learn how we handle three factor authentication at Gatekeeper Security!
Creating Fingerprints for Vehicles
The very first component for three factor authentication is creating a “digital fingerprint” of the said vehicle. To do this, we use our own intelligent under vehicle inspection system, and it will recognize the vehicle and all passes over the scanner. It is able to compare future scans to help check for any types of anomalies and foreign objects so you can make sure it is the same physical car and that there are no changes that may present threats.
Tracking All License Plates
License plates are one of the most common and easily trackable types of vehicle identification out there. Our own license plate reader system can track a license plate’s alphanumeric characters, state of origin, colors. From here, we can then tie them into the vehicle’s fingerprint. If that car were to ever change license plates, then the system would notify you so proper actions could be taken. This is a great way to ensure you know who exactly is coming and going into your facility or road.
Identifying the Drivers
The third and last element for three factor authentication is known as driver identification. Using our intelligent vehicle occupant detection system, drivers and passengers of a car can then be identified and matched against an extensive database. It will even work through dark and tinted glass, along with ballistic glass, and even if there is some type of glare from sunlight or overhead lights. These three elements blend seamlessly to create a valid fingerprint of every type of vehicle. Passengers, drivers, and license plates are also all tied to a car, and the system will alarm you or a security personnel employee if anyone enters and one of the three factor authentication elements is out of the norm.
